It’s well known the most efficient department in the borough of West Chester is the parking authority. They are thorough in their parking enforcement, vigilantly eyeing each parking space every few minutes to ensure you are ticketed within 60 seconds of your meter running out. Most locals eventually find themselves pleading for a break. If you are one of these folks, your time has come!
The West Chester Business Improvement District has declared that everyone can enjoy FREE PARKING at downtown meters starting at noon every Friday in July & August. This awesome deal just began last Friday but if you missed it then, there are plenty more fun Fridays left to take advantage of it.
Get out and enjoy the lively streets of Downtown West Chester without the worries! There are no signs detailing this on the meters so be sure to spread the word and spread it fast!
The Justice Center Garage is also free after 5:00pm on Friday and remains available for free parking every weekend. The municipal garages on South High Street and East Chestnut Street are open and continue to charge a fee, but their convenience still offers a great parking option for downtown visitors.
