2012 is about to get a lot sweeter. The First Annual Chester County Cupcake Clash is coming to Radley Run Country Club on Thursday, September 20. Bring your your family and friends, along with your sweet tooth, to this new showdown to determine the ultimate Chester County cupcake creator.
Event organizers Living in Chester County declared that this contest be judged in a true, unbiased fashion. A blind taste test will be conducted by people just like you during the event. If you’d like to have a say in who takes home the 1st place title, make sure you attend as a voter. For those of you who just love cupcakes but still want to get in on the action, you’re welcome to join as well.
The Cupcake Clash will begin at 6:30 p.m., with tastings running from 7 to 8:30. The winner will be announced at 9! The greatest part is, this winner could be any one of you. The contest is not limiting entries to registered cupcake companies alone, although they will be there to throw down as well. They are inviting each and every Suzy Homemaker to show off their kitchen skills and creativity for an evening of fun and charity! Proceeds will benefit the Bringing Hope Home (formerly known as Great Guys Group), an organization dedicated to supporting families battling cancer in our community through emotional and financial assistance by paying bills during their tough times.
All cupcakes must be made from scratch, including the icing. The sweet morsels will be based on originality, taste and design. Event organizers are looking for contestants to enter in three different categories; chocolate, vanilla, and a special theme cupcake. Since Bringing Hope Home was founded by a loving couple who met at West Chester University, were married, and sadly torn apart by cancer, the special theme will be “sweethearts,” in honor of the benefactor.
Now is the time to sign up as the Chester County Cupcake Clash officially opened registration. If you think you have what it takes to win the title and great prizes like one year of free advertising on Living In West Chester’s Facebook Page, Twitter Account, Pinterest, the Living in Chester County’s website, and HomeYours.com, REGISTER NOW! Winners also have the potential to take home cash and have their winning cupcake in Cupcakes Gourmets‘ store fronts for a month!
Cupcake Clash is accepting gift cards, products and more from local business owners and welcoming SPONSORS to sign up at this time! There are three sponsor levels which can be reviewed and paid for via the event website. They encourage local companies to get in on the action and assure that recognition of each donation and sponsor will be given.
