Food and service was good when they first opened, The soups taste like they come out of a can lately, they used to be very good. Went for brunch last week and everything on the buffet was cold, the eggs were overcooked and to be quite honest there were basically no brunch items on the buffet. it was all breakfast items, they should call it a breakfast buffet!!!!….The best thing that I have to say about our visit was that we were seated quickly. Our glasses sat empty for almost ten minutes while the waitress visited with her coworkers. They used to have comment cards but no more, I guess they don’t care anymore.
Poor service, mediocre food and extremely high beer/drink prices. We’ll opt for Iron Hill where the management offers excellent service, good food and excellent beer at a great price.
i loved it! relaxing place to hang out and have a blast!! cant wait to go again!
Love the atmosphere, great to the kids and food is good.
OMG – have to agree, bring back the courtyard or at least their food. Table of 8 and no one liked their food. Either over cooked, under cooked or soggy brown edged old lettuce. Inside is a much brighter new atmosphere but the food is terrible. They need to revamp their menu. They may succeed with just the bar business.
went on Friday night to have a few drinks with friends ……service was pretty good …….food was a little plain …..the big issue for me is that they have Hunts ketchup …..this is always a red flag for me …it pretty much means I cannot ever get a burger or fries from this place and makes me wonder where they are cutting corners ………..they do have Goslings so I will be back
The Farmer in the Dell! He’s reaching back with that classic old place (now a gas station). The ‘Yard couldn’t compete anymore in the very competitive local restaurant scene. Two friends of mine who ordered food here praised what they got, and the pizza my wife and I ordered was decent. Nachos are hardly the dish by which to judge the menu of a place. They probably will need to expand their menu some. The problem here may be that to pay for all of that renovation drink prices are out of line with a sports bar.
“Bring back the Courtyard/Ground Round/Farmer in the Dell”–went last week for dinner-bloody disaster. Lazy man nachos-put a couple chips, a little cheese and overload with lettuce-awful. Entrees weren’t much better. They will do well w/ t.v.’s, bar crowd, but this place makes Applebee’s look like Dilworthtown in terms of quality of food.
I don’t mind if you make an effort and fail, but this place obviously didn’t even consider putting decent food in front of us. You would think for an opening that you would want to set a good impression, so long to that thought. I will give the disastrous service a break since they are new, but if their food quality remains the same, they should bag the food and just give out the leftover pepperidge farm goldfish they have in their basement.
