About Teikoku

It’s a bit out of town but worth the drive! The atmosphere is delightful, the dishes are creative and delicious and the sushi is the best in the area. Sit at the sushi bar and get to know the expertly trained folks behind the sushi knives (many came from Morimoto in Philly.)

Great for romantic dinners, after-work drinks (awesome sake and cocktails… including yummy dessert drinks), sushi dates or even big groups!

WC Dish recommends: The Godzilla roll- YUM-tastic!, chef’s choice sashimi plate, kobe beef appetizer cooked on hot stones tableside!

  • I can only comment on the sushi because that is why I come here. Teikoku has probably the best sushi around and a great atmosphere. You definitely should try the Chay roll. The staff, especially the sushi chefs, are always friendly.

  • Spring roll was the best I have ever had! It was light, loved the pineapple salsa! Chilean sea bass was wonderful as was the Salmon box lunch. We'll be back with friends!
This was our anniversary dinner! Great Choice!

  • We made reservations Saturday afternoon on OpenTable for Saturday night at 8:15. We arrived early, and it was very busy. We got a drink and waited. Our table was ready at 8:15 as reserved. They have a newly arrange wine list was very fun and functional–(earth, wind, fire, etc. arrangement) makes me want to go back and experiment some more. We ordered green salad, seaweed salad, sushi, chicken wings, and salmon tartar. I love their green salad–so slimple but so good, the goat cheese crisps and their dressing are oh so good. Seaweed, was as expected. Sushi was very good and fresh. Chicken wings were crispy and delicious–my husband said they were is new favorite. Apparently the kitchen was backed up, so we never got our salmon tartar. Waitress was apologetic and we didn't fuss. We decided to order dessert–fried ice cream, which the ice cream part was okay, but the sauces were yummy. This was our 3rd or 4th visit, and will definitely go back.

  • I live very close to Teikoku which makes their excellence pretty much a miracle.

I've enjoyed sushi very frequently in my travels in the states and Asia and am very adventurous. Teikoku is hip, trendy, and cool. The wait staff is attentive, efficient, and, dare I say it, good looking in their black outfits. The food is creative, fresh, well presented, and delicious. The giant fans and blacked out bamboo lined high ceilings contribute to the very detailed experience. Small stones in the table settings remind us of a zen experience. We pick them up, consider them, and tell the kids to not throw them. Yes, even with all the hipness, this place is family friendly.

I would place this restaurant among my very best Sushi experiences, but it's more than that. There are interesting Thai, Chinese, Malaysian, and Korean dishes as well, but we never seem to get much past the wonderful Sushi.

    Highly recommended!

  • Wow who knew sushi could be this good. I also had no idea that I could tell if sushi was average or amazing – but after eating here I now know what amazing tastes like. Every ingredient taste and texture stood out. This is the kind of food you dream about!!

  • Awesome photos!
I have not yet tried Teikoku, but I hear nothing but good things…
Yamashiro (RIP) on Rt 30 was our goto place for sushi, but no more.
