Delicious chicken quesadillas and pistachio chicken-had dinner there tonight and enjoyed everything we ordered. The server was attentive and friendly. Italian cookies are a treat!! We will definitely be back! PS. love hearing Sinatra as well.
I don’t ever write reviews, but after this experience, I felt it necessary to express my opinion. As a waitress myself, I know how hard it can be to please customers and consider myself a very open-minded and polite person when dealing with others. When we first arrived, we were the third table in the restaurant, which in my opinion is not busy. My five friends and I shared three menus to look off of. Not a big deal. Our food came out about an hour and fifteen minutes after we ordered. I would have rather had it stay in the kitchen. The sauces of our dishes were all bland. The pasta was over-done and the “garlic bread” was basically toast. By the time we were done with our meals and paid, we were shortly thereafter told that “OK guys, time to wrap it up”. Kicked OUT! In my opinion, a successful business is based off of wonderful customer service. This was lacking to an EXTREME. Sorry to anyone who thinks this place is anything above satisfactory.
Have had dinner here several times with family, really like the comfortable atmosphere and often get the pistachio chicken for take out at lunch. Definitely recommend!
This was the worst dining experience we have ever had in life. We arrived and were the third table of diners. We brought wine and the server laid the cork screw on the table. We asked for menus and were told when other diners were finished we would be given the menu. We ordered Appetizers, salad and entree after finding items they had as opposed to what was on the menu. forty minutes after ordering my partners entree was brought out! Where was the appetizer or even a salad course? Server offered to keep the entree warm in kitchen until after appetizer and salad. Finally, appetizer and my partners salad came. Where was my salad. Appetizer was chicken overcooked and shrimp not the original order of coconut shrimp, but buffalo shrimp. Eventually, entree came out pasta with vodka sauce (ok)and chicken marsala with gummy sauce and burnt roasted vegetables. We had a gift card to pay for this horrible dining experience and I felt badly for the friend who gave us the card and had spent her hard earned money on this terrible establishment.
Sorry to see these unfortunate reviews–we love this place and it is very convenient for catering–free parking when you pick up your order!!! We have always found the waitresses to be upbeat and helpful. Food is great!
This cafe is a low budget dump. Why would people want to eat there?
RUDE RUDE RUDE!!! I never write reviews on anything, but this I wanted to express. I think the young ladies that work there fail to forget there are mirrors on the side therefore you can see what is going on! Texting messaging talking on your phone, eating a sandwich while preparing someone else’s food is just gross and unprofessional. Then on top of it have an attitude with your customers, just wrong! There food is good, but after that I will never be back.
Great for lunch and dinner. Their pepper and egg took me back to the days when my grandfather would cook them for me on Sunday mornings. We went for dinner for the first time last night and it was amazing. I highly, highly recommend it for lunch and dinner.
I took my mother to Pistachio’s today for a Mother’s Day lunch. My mother had the shrimp corn soup which she declared, “Delicious”, and the pistachio chicken. I had the pistachio chicken salad which was excellent. We will be back again!
Delicious!! We have lived right up the street from Pistachio’s for over a year and checked it out for the first time this weekend. We’re sad we didn’t go there sooner, it was amazing! We had the pistachio chicken and cordon bleu bites (both awesome), and an italian hoagie. There also have premade things that you can buy and take home to make for dinner (different pastas, sauces, etc.) I think we just found our new favorite place!!
Great food at a reasonable price–pistachio chicken is addictive-try it out and you will be going once a week!
Pistachio’s is great! Free available parking, BYOB-with no corkage fee, and delicious food. Came up as a dinner suggestion a few weeks ago so we tried it out and enjoyed it so much we went back the following week. Salads were extremely fresh and delicious and the pistachio chicken we ordered as an appetizer was gone in seconds! Everyone enjoyed their meal and the comfortable atmosphere.
Being from South Philly this place had a menu that had a lot to live up to and it did! Had lunch here and the chicken cutlet with spinach and peppers was excellent…dining partner had the roast pork with provolone and long hot peppers on the side complete with a bowl of “juice” to dip from. Homemade pasta salad was great especially the house made balsamic dressing.
Finished with a few Italian cookies and we were sold. We will be back for dinner…menu looks really good. Recommended highly.
