  • There is another Seafood Market with the same name that opened around May 2009 in the Lincoln Ct. Center on Rt 30. near Exton. There is some kind of relationship between the two and some other location in New York but I'm not quite sure what it is. The one time I bought fish there it was excellent. The Lobster Bisque was just Fair.

  • I stepped into this inconspicous store to buy half a pound a salmon, and managed to get a whole lot more. The quality of the fish is excellent – so fresh that we used it up for a sushi-party and our guests raved about them. And don’t get me started on their crab cakes. We took a Maryland trip to have crab cakes, and believe me – those didn’t even come close to Gadaleto's. Each one is full of crab chunks, and no fillers at all. The stuff is to kill for. Way to go guys!

  • WOW!!! BEST SEAFOOD EVER!!!

I'd been to Gadaleto's a few times a couple of years ago, but with Wegman's, Acme, and Giant in a 10-mile radius, had been shopping elsewhere. I now realize just what I've been missing.

My wife just gave birth to our first child a month ago, so we've found ourselves very limited with places we can go. Basically, any meal at a restaurant that takes longer than 35 minutes is out of the question. I wanted to take her out for her birthday, but realized it would be too difficult this year.

After reading Mary's article about Gadaleto's, I decided it would be a great idea to stop off after work and pick up some crabcakes and shrimp.

All I can say is, UNREAL! The crabcakes are by far the best I've ever had ANYWHERE. At $5.29 each, I almost felt like I was ripping them off after eating them. A half-decent crabcake meal at a restaurant will cost you about four times as much. Plus, the guys peeled AND steamed the shrimp for us.

I've eaten seafood in a lot of places up and down the East coast, and I can say without a doubt that this is one of the best seafood markets I've ever visited (easily the best in the area). Never again will I bother buying my seafood from a grocery store.

Thanks for making my wife's birthday dinner so special, guys!

  • Gadaleto's is the best seafood market. The fish is always super fresh and the highest quality available and the crabs (I get a few times a week) are always great. If you aren't sure how to best prepare whatever you're buying the guys will give you excellent cooking ideas/instructions. Congrats on the festival win!!

  • Congrats to Andy and the whole Gadaleto's crew! Your Crab Cakes were a smashing hit and your last minutes surge on Lobster Rolls secured your first place Appetizer position against Riverstone. With all this success I've got to ask, is there a Gadaleto's restaurant in West Chester's future?

Congrats again on the big win(s)!

  • I agree with the previous review…the crabcakes are AMAZING!
Gadaleto's is, by far, the best seafood store in the area. I visit them at least 3 times a week, and they know me by name (something no other store EVER took the time to ask). Mark, Andy, Jonny…they treat me like family and always have a recipe in mind for me. I highly recommend stopping in for a visit and introduce yourself when you go in…you won't be sorry.

  • Andy's crabcakes rule! They have no fillers. I also love the scallops, stuffed anything and the wide variety of sauces and spices to accompany the fish. You guys need to make your soups more often…winter is coming!
