dscf8953.jpgdscf8957.jpgdscf8958.jpgAt first glance you may not expect too much from this local gem but once you try the food you’ll never think twice again. Wave noodle is rumored to have the best Chinese and noodle dishes in the area. With a heavy Thai influence this popular spot serves up anything from the traditional General Tso’s to green curry or pad thai.

They are also open for delivery… and open late. So when the mood strikes you can fight back with some really, really yummy grub.

WC Dish recommends: The summer rolls, salt and pepper calamari, crispy beef, chicken pad thai and pineapple fried rice. Not all at once of course.

  1. Wave Noodle is simple the only place in WC worth getting chinese food from. The sauces are so good! My favs are Chicken w/ Broccoli (sp?), General Tso's, and Salt and Pepper shrimp. The staff there is great also.

  2. The food is terrific. I have been looking for a good Chinese restaurant in the area for a while now. I also love Thai food, but didn't think there were any places around that served it. Wave noodle is great. The prices are VERY reasonable and the staff is polite. The delivery service is quick too!

  3. Wave Noodle a great place for Chinese/Thai food! They have the best pad thai around and for less than $7.00 you can have leftovers for the next day – their portion sizes are pretty generous!! Eating in or taking out – we have always had a great experience there!

  4. Admittedly, it doesn't look like much on the outside. There are no golden dragons or fancy zen gardens that you'll find at some Asian restaurants. I'd driven by it hundreds of times and never even gave it a thought, until I read some of the reviews here.

When I finally tried it, I was happily impressed. I had the Shrimp Pad Thai, and it was as good as I've had it at some of the finer Thai restaurants.

Parking's doesn't seem that convenient, but you can always park in the complex across the street.

Do yourself a favor: Check out Wave Noodle!

  5. Food is so/so. Kinda overpriced. Very salty. Check out No.#1 instead.

  6. def my favorite chinese restaurant in the area! definately somewhere to try!

  7. I wouldn't say "Chinese" but defiantly the best asian food in WC.

Everything you would need to fill the hunger of a family who is craving Asian. Where else can you get top notch Miso Soup, Steamed Dumplings, Pad Tai, Ginger Chicken, and Mussels..

Delivery is incredible. They say 40 min, and they are there in 10 min. The food is warm, and fresh. The Restaurant itself is not much to look at, but it is charming and family friendly. Once you sit down, the service is good, friendly, and prompt.

  8. [...] to actually go and get it, I simply picked up my phone and ordered in. My personal favorite is Wave Noodle. Their noodle dishes are perfect for when you’re sick, and their entrees are delicious no [...]

  9. Wave is the best Chinese spot in West Chester. That's not saying much, considering there is no good Chinese restaurant in West Chester proper.

  10. Mmm I LOVE Wave Noodle. I get their Chicken Pad Thai which is incredible–even in Thai restaurants I still walk away preferring Wave Noodle's. I actually ask for it spicy which adds a delicious kick, and they are very accomodating with the requests. I moved to Exton this past year and will still drive into West Chester just to get dinner at Wave Noodle!

  11. Pretty typical Thai/Chinese/Asian menu choices, but well prepared and tasty. Was there recently following a disappointing buffet lunch at India Garden the week before, and thought it was a much better rendition of "Asian" food than India Garden's buffet is on "Indian" food. Good value for lunch.

Parking lot in the back is convenient, too.

  12. I have been going here for awhile. Its a pretty nice place to eat. Its a little more expensive then your run of the mill chinese restaurant but the food is of much better quality. Its nice to have a wide selection between regular chinese, thai, and other foods.

There is also parking behind the building not many people realize that.

  13. food was ok not that great. the salt and pepper squid was great but the salt and pepper shrimp was tasteless. saigon noodles were soggy. pork chop serving was huge.

  14. I am interested by the comments about Wave Noodle because, ironically, I agree with them all, the good and the bad.

One of the reasons I first visited Wave was because they served Vietnamese Pho, which is arguably the best dish ever created. Still, I prefer the Pho at Noodi in Media, which allows you to eat a three-course meal of absolute bliss for next to nothing. If you've never been, you are missing out on a gem!

That said, I have had both good and bad results from my eat-in and take-out experiences at Wave. I do agree that if you are looking for Asian cuisine in the WC, you are already in the dog house, so you might as well start here.

  15. [...] knows I get super giddy with the thought of ordering some Pad Thai from Wave Noodle in WC, but now there is even more reason to get super ex-Thai-ded. (Okay, so that was lame… I [...]

I've been getting food from here for years and really, it's the best Chinese / Asian Fusion good in the greater WC area by far (I've tried them all). The veges are always fresh, the portions are quite big, and the service is always good. As an aside, they deliver very quickly and the lunch/dinner specials are a great deal and a huge amount of food.

Try the shrimp tempura, the currys, the all-white meat General Tsos, and the soups.

  17. Closing 3/31/2010 and they don't know if the will re-open somewhere else. I am so bummed, it was the best freshest food. Good luck and thanks,

  18. They are still open. I just had some take out the other night. The food was terrific as usual!
