I was honestly a little skeptical about this place in the beginning. I probably eat at least 3 cheesesteaks a week from a long list of different places…always looking for the perfect one.
I saw this place opened recently, and being that i was in Fresh Works withdrawal after it closed, i decided to give Jimmy C's a try.
Although it wasnt your typical chopped cheesesteak that you find at most places (more like thin sliced meat); it was of exceptional quality. The beef is great, and they seem to understand that there can just never be enough cheese. I will definitely be back.
The rolls are amazing – which is vital to a good cheesesteak. One of the best for the West Chester area that I've come across! By the way, sliced meat instead of chopped is not uncommon (Steve's, Geno's, and Pat's all have slabs).
I got a cheesesteak and fries to go. The portions of the meat were very small. The roll overwhelmed the sandwich. I believe they use either sliced top round or knuckles. not a very good job at all, obvious by the fact they are never crowded.

great steaks! not your usual chopped up meat variety but very good with melted cheese. Try the steak with the pepper jack and some fresh cut fries.

I also recently gave them a try , I prefer the chopped style but I agree the meat was quite good …did not like the fries at all

I went for a change from Lorenzo's, no need to ever return. Weak cheesesteak, lousy roll, not enough meat, half melted cheese.
Trifecta for issues–but the dudes seemed like good people, I just wish they could make a cheesesteak.
If you are from philly you understand the slabs of meat. Best Cheesesteaks in Philly area aside from philly.
Best cheesesteak I ever had. Friendly service. You can tell they care about the food.
