The latest The Town Dish giveaway is sending four local winos to Sun., Oct. 13′s Dilworthtown Wine Festival! Want to win? All the details below.
More than 1200 attendees will sip, taste and shop on the second Sunday of October at the Dilworthtown Wine Festival benefiting The Cancer Program of The Chester County Hospital and Neighborhood Hospice. More than 100 wines will be poured from a variety of wineries including two new additions to this year’s line-up, Grace Winery and Ten Gallon Hat Winery. All guests will enjoy a spread of gourmet foods, live entertainment, a performance car show and an artisan shopping gallery.
Thomas Gavin, director of event and volunteer fundraising, is working hard to prepare for this annual event. “The wine festival is a Chester County tradition where wine and food lovers come together in support of patients living with cancer. For me, there is no better way to enjoy autumn in Chester County. Attendees can sip locally produced, regional and international wines, shop from local artisans, enjoy an exotic car show and support such a worthy cause. It doesn’t get much better than that.”
The event is not just for wine lovers, either. Gavin shares that they’ve added some nice improvements this year. “We are thrilled to provide a craft-beer section including beers from Victory Brewing Company, Iron HIll Brewery and Restaurant and McKenzie Brew House. Another addition will benefit loyal sports fans. We will have the Eagels game on inside The Innkeeper’s Kitchen all day along with game-day foods like wings and pizza, provided by our culinary partners. So, there is truly something for everyone.”
The Gourmet Food Tent provides “pay-as-you-go” options including mushroom soup, lobster bisque, angus burgers and meatball sliders from The Dilworthtown Inn and pulled, “smoqued” pork and braised brisket from Simply Smoqued BBQ. Signature lobster dishes and award-winning crab cakes will also be available from Gadaleto’s Seafood as well as many other culinary delights.
VIP tickets give attendees access to anything in the Gourmet Food Tent as well as admittance to the VIP tent providing reserved seating, specialty fruit and cheese plates from Montesano Brothers and Edible Delights as well as chicken marsala from Pescatore’s and prosciutto, arugula and balsamic flatbreads and fresh mozzarella basil pizza pies from America’s Pie.
Tickets are available at the door or can be ordered online through Friday, October 11th. Food fanatics don’t have to choose between this event and the same-day West Chester Rotary Chili Cook-off. Attendees of the Chili Cook-off can show their wristband at the door and will receive $10 off their ticket price.
The Wine Festival will be held rain or shine. The Dilworthtown Inn and the Brandywine and Greystone branches of The Women’s Auxiliary to The Chester County Hospital jointly organize this event, which is made possible through the generosity of many sponsors.

- General Admission Tickets: $40 in advance/$45 at the door
