They’re back! It’s been a grueling couple of weeks as many waited for the return of West Chester Parks and Recreation’s fun filled events, Swingin’ Summer Thursday and Vintage Garage Sale. The time is dwindling and the end is near as July is just around the corner.
Swingin Summer Thursday will re-emerge on Thursday (surprise surprise?) July 5 on Gay Street in West Chester. The fun celebration that takes place the first Thursday of every month until September will feature food, music, clowns, artists, magicians, jugglers and lots of family fun. July’s music line-up includes Rob Dickensen’s Tribute to America Music and Junk Rock. You can get your groove on to those awesome tunes between High and Matlack Streets as the live music fills the air. The jubilant activities will take place from 6:30 to 9:30 pm.
If you can’t get the gang to Swingin Thursday, they’ll certainly miss out on a good time. However, first Friday is right behind it on July 6, featuring the always popular Vintage Garage Sale. Stop by with friends and family for a second night of fun, or the perfect way to end a hard work week. The Sale takes place from 4 to 9 pm on the Chestnut Street Parking Garage. It’s the absolute best place for those one of a kind finds that complete your wardrobe, interior decor, or make a perfect gift for a special someone. There will be a fabulous variety of local vendors, each offering unique items and must have antiques.
Contact West Chester Parks and Recreation at 610-436-9010 with any questions or if you have an interest in vending at the garage sale. They look forward to having each and every one of you for a vintage find frenzy and swinging good time!
