We think about them all year long. Local foodies long for the sweet tastes of summer like local summer corn and tomatoes but the folks in West Chester also have a craving for another summertime snack… Goshen Country Fair DONUTS! Good news, West Chester, the fair is now open and donuts are available! The fair, which is celebrating its 62nd anniversary this season, will run from Aug. 1-6 at the Goshen Fairgrounds (which are located just off West Chester Pike three miles east of West Chester) and is held each year as a benefit for the Goshen Fire Company.
In addition to the donuts you can partake in other fun food events like the Blue Ribbon Apple Pie Contest on Tuesday, the Incredible Angel Food Cake Contest on Wednesday, Hershey’s Cocoa Classic Chocolate Baking Contest on Thursday at 8 p.m., a chicken barbecue from 5-7 p.m. on August 5. Of course, you can’t forget about Bingo and the ferris wheel (in addition to other family-friendly rides and activities.) For a full schedule of the fun click here.
