It's Heating Up in West Chester with Thai Food!
Lord knows I get super giddy with the thought of ordering some Pad Thai from Wave Noodle in WC, but now there is even more reason to get super ex-Thai-ded. (Okay, so that was lame… I was trying to be clever.) West Chester will soon be home to THREE new Thai restaurants!
Jazmine’s Thai is new in town this year and is a fine dining restaurant with delicious offerings like my favorite menu items, chicken satay, Pad Thai and lots of fun curry dishes.
If that isn’t enough for you, Market street will soon be home to two new Thai restaurants.
What are they?

Nooddi Thai located right next to Market Street Grill on Market Street. They have a spot in Media that has gotten rave reviews. I’ve not had the pleasure of eating there but I asked my friend that lives in Media about them and he said it’s his favorite. I was lucky enough to talk to the new owners before they opened and they said they’d be serving Thai, sushi and vegetarian food as a BYOB. Linens are on the tables and the ocean-painted wall interior is ready to go so it should be a matter of days… if not hours. Yay!

The other new spot in town is Spice Indian Thai Bistro that is taking it’s new home where Cosi used to be on Market Street. With their first location in Edgemont on Rt. 3 I’ve given their Pad Thai and Chicken Tikka Masala a whirl recently and deemed them the best I’ve had in the area. Yup, that good.

The Final Dish:
I hope you’re all as excited as I am. Stay tuned to opening dates and info.

Spice is coming to West Chester??? Can't wait!!!
mmm, i have been craving pad thai since nooddi put a sign up!
mary, how about a thai-athlon???
Update: Nooddi is opening THURSDAY the 16th!
Is Spice a franchise? Just had Jazmine last night for the first time. I HEART Thai Basil!
Mary, were you standing in the middle of Market St to take that pic of Spice?
Went to Nooddi today and got take out. Was a little expensive – especially considering I was charged a different price on each item than what the menu said, maybe just an honest mistake? Food was good but not great. The inside of the restaurant was fantastic – such a great job on the painting and murals!! It was only day two so we'll have to try it again in a bit and see if they've worked things out.
Anyone have a menu for Nooddi they can post?
Pretty Smart… With a town allready saturated with restaurants, why dont you open 3 Thai Resaturants at the same time!
Perhaps…but when you say "saturated with restaurants" you must mean, "boring American food with beer," right?
I've found downtown WC to lack quality ethnic restaurants, especially compared with Exton.
I've tried Noodi Thai, and I thought it was decent, but not amazing. I love that they had a huge array of vegetarian options that were priced accordingly (hint: Jazmine shouldn't be charging the same for tofu as chicken).
However, I like my tofu crispier and after ordering a spicy dish and additionally specifying that I would like it hot, I found my dish absolutely mild.
Checked out Nooddi Thai on Saturday for a late bite before a night on the town. The location is very convenient as is the BYOB. The sushi was great and the prices were reasonable. The staff was generous and the "underwater" themed mural on the wall is pretty awesome. Certainly will be going back to Nooddi soon.
Food is okay but not up to par with Sweet Basil Thai Cuisine just down 202 – Chadds Ford, PA but close to Chester County Line – try it – also a BYOB – 275 Wilm. W. Chester Pike – next to Great Clips/Brusters.
Hey. I went to Nooddi Thai in West Chester with my parents the other night. While the food was okay, I wanted to let people know that the next day, when my parents checked their Visa bill, they had been overcharged for the meal. My father went back and spoke with the owner, who eventually corrected the problem (after some denials). Of course, I have no idea if this was just a one time mistake or not, and I am not trying to assert that they will be potentially ripped off if they go there, but I just wanted to let people know to double-check their bill. Also, ironically, the hostess talked my dad into getting something other than what he initially wanted, without mentioning to him that the dish she was recommending was significantly more expensive. So, we did not end up having a particularly good experience there – though perhaps it was just one of those "one-time" things.
