Have you tried Pietro's $48 Porterhouse?

I haven’t either, but I’d like to . . . and everything else on the new steakhouse’s menu. Can’t afford the big boy’s steak? They have $13 Tuna Skins. Yeah, that’s right Tuna Skins. If you’re not feeling the fish epidermis, then find something that’s just right for you on the brand new Pietro’s Prime Menu (PDF Download)

  1. I tried Pietro's last week, had the fillet and caprese salad. Not bad but a little pricey, once they hit their stride (not having waitstaff lurk about) I would definately recommend.

  2. I had their $6 mini-crabcake at the Restaurant Festival – it was good but not $6 good :)

Their menu looks steep. Is anyone else going to their Open House on Friday?

  3. My wife and I tried the Prime on a Wednesday night. We were walk-ins but they sat us right away in the front room. Nice place but I didn't like the lights.. too bright. However, my wife ordered the filet and I ordered the bone in strip steak and we both loved it. There's a real difference between a restaurant that sells steak and a steak house. The Prime is a Steak House. The meat was charred on the outside and pink on the inside. You could taste the char. Wonderful. And I don't know what they do to the corn but you've got to try it. Unlike anything I've had before. We got a bottle of chianti ($48) that was teriffic. Our server Chris was helpful and interesting. We gave him some of our wine and he practically joined us for dinner. Strong recommendation.
