What's in Your Fridge?

fridge.jpgDespite my love for the grocery store, I often find that with jam-packed days I struggle to find time to actually get there. This usually leads to two types of shopping experiences:

  1. The “that looks amazing and I need to buy a few of those” gourmet or specialty food spree.
  2. The “nothing-but-business” shopping trip to stock up on the go-to foods.

For shopping experience number 2, I have a checklist of must-have items. I thought it’d be fun to share our top 10 food staples here. I’ll go first.

Mary’s Top 10 Grocery Staples

10. Stoneybrook Farms plain, organic, low-fat yogurt
9. Mozzarella cheese sticks
8. Whole-wheat tortillas
7. Egglands Best brown, free-range eggs
6. Pouches of albacore tuna
5. Green peppers
4. Spinach
3. Apples
2. Popcorn (regular light and kettle corn…mmm)
1. Avocados

I also usually have hummus, corn chips, rice cakes and any and all fruits and veggies I find at the farmer’s market, but for the most part those are my top 10… now it’s your turn to share! Leave your list in the comment below.

The Final Dish: It makes me truly happy to see a fully stocked fridge.
